Fena Gitu is a Kenyan recording and performing artist, songwriter, and creative entrepreneur celebrated for her bold sound, lyrical storytelling, and unapologetic authenticity. A defining voice in East Africa’s urban music scene, Fena has spent over 15 years shaping a genre-bending style she calls Urban Soul - afro fusion meets hip-hop and R&B, neo-soul, dancehall, and contemporary African rhythms inspired by the energy and diversity of Nairobi.
Known for her dynamic performances, cultural influence and fearless individuality, Fena continues to evolve beyond music into fashion, lifestyle and creative world-building through her platform, Fenamenal Entertainment. Her work explores themes of identity, freedom, connection and contemporary African storytelling, positioning her as one of the region’s most distinctive and forward-thinking creative voices.
Beyond her artistry, Fena is the Founder and Creative Lead of Fenamenal Entertainment, a multidisciplinary creative company and community built to amplify African stories through music, fashion, lifestyle, and mentorship. Under this umbrella, she has launched initiatives such as Fenamenal Style (a culture-driven fashion and merch line), Fenergy EXP (a live and digital experiential platform spotlighting Kenyan talent), and Fenamentors (a mentorship and accelerator program empowering young women and creatives in music).
